INTRODUCTION

Situated near the borders of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia and at the confluence of the Chobe and Zambesi Rivers, its position is its most important feature. Also a gateway to the Chobe National Park and the town from which David Livingstone discovered the great "Victoria Falls". This popular town is the perfect place from which to explore Botswana and the surrounding countries. ATTRACTIONS

  • Only an hours drive, you can visit the World Heritage Sight - "Victoria Falls".

  • There are various Forest Reserves around Kasane, such as the Chobe Forest Reserve, the Maikaelelo Forest Reserve and of course the Kasane Forest Reserve right on your doorstep.

  • Fishing - You have two great rivers nearby - the Chobe and The Zambezi to fish to your hearts content. Tiger fishing in the Chobe River is a very popular activity. 

  • Game Viewing and Bird Watching - The nearby Chobe National Park is one of the best game viewing areas in Africa, the great herds of elephant resident in the Park is what the Park is most famous for. 

  • You can view these spectacular beasts by 4x4 vehicle or river cruises. The Chobe River is home to hundreds of species of birds. Their colour and beauty make for stunning photos. 

  • Safaris - Various Safaris to the neighboring countries which cover all the popular tourist sights can be queried on in Kasane at the many Safari Agents.
