Introduction
Townsville,

park set on ten hectares of wetlands, rainforests and native
eucalypt.

Town Common and Environmental Park, only 7km from city centre.

Magnetic Island. The island is the most northerly point in Australia to

District and waterfront areas now housed in magnificently restored

centre is framed by The Strand Waterfront and the looming pink granites of

the city centre by Fast cat ferry. Day cruises and diving expeditions to
the Great Barrier Reef, and white water rafting excursions also depart
regularly from the city.
